# The ambition

The ambition is a general-purpose chain: anything buildable on Ethereum or Solana should be buildable here, with a structural safety property neither offers. Composition works on Modulus, in a different shape from account-model chains, and one pattern does not carry over: touching two applications atomically inside a single transaction, the mechanism behind flash loans and multi step routing. Anyone porting a design that depends on that pattern should know it on day one, and this documentation states the limit wherever generality is claimed. 

We start where nothing else works: private state with public verifiability, and regulated activity where the rule is enforced rather than audited. Generality follows once there is a reason to build here at all.
