# Performance: the prover envelope

Evidence labels on this page: \[S] verified against a primary source; \[A] argued. The figures on this page are published: the benchmark harness, the code every system ran, the full results tables, the memory methodology and the reproduction steps are public. Every figure below reproduces from that record and carries its context here.

Measurement context, stated once for the whole page \[S, benchmark record]: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X (8 cores, 16 threads), Linux, CPU proving only, one prover at a time, September 2026. Versions: zkFOL 0.4.0, RISC Zero 3.0.5, SP1 6.3.1. Two backend revisions are involved: the bounds-check section ran on an earlier revision than the rest, both named in the record's header, and figures from different revisions are not strictly comparable. Fibonacci cells are medians of three runs; the comparator sudoku cells are single runs that agreed within a few percent where cross-checked. SP1's roughly one second of setup is excluded from its prove column. Prove times are contention sensitive; the record includes a contended run measuring nearly double the uncontended time on the same machine.
